What is the only thing that is above everything else?
Yes, it is Happiness! Happiness is the only superpower in this universe that makes us feel complete, serene and blissful.
And, usually, we all are happy when we are around the people we love, respect and care for – in short, our own people…
This year, 2020 has taught and in fact, still teaching us many lessons. We learnt new things about medical science, health and hygiene, but, most importantly, the importance of being at home, with our own people and seeing their smiling faces…
With this thought, VG Foundation, the arm of Vishal Group that takes care of the corporate and social responsibilities of the Group joined hands with Ms. Maggie Doyne. Maggie is an American philanthropist and noted for her social work in all across the globe. In the year 2015, she was awarded the prestigious CNN Hero Of The Year for her outstanding contribution in social work. The Group joined hands with her for a noble cause –to bring back our own people home.
We all are aware that a large no of our brothers and sisters, our own Nepalese countrymen stay indifferent border towns for professional and personal reasons. Due to the sudden outbreak of coronavirus, COVID 19 this year, we realized, those people would be stuck in those places…without their own people – in a forlorn situation. This very thought made us think for ways to help them and we learnt about Ms. Doyne and thought of joined hands to help them.
Ms. Doynegrew up in New Jersey, United States of America. She visited Nepal in 2005 and fell in love with our beautiful country. In the year 2007, she founded BlinkNow Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial support and management oversight to the Kopila Valley School, Children’s Home, Women’s Center, Health Clinic, Big Sisters' Home, and New Campus in Surkhet, Nepal, all of these are initiated by Ms. Doyne. The foundation is headquartered in the United States as well as in Nepal and operates at the grassroots level of community and focuses on promoting sustainability and self-reliance in the Surkhet community, Nepal.
We at Vishal Group are extremely delighted to be a part of this initiative and feel that there is nothing more fulfilling in life than bringing back the people in their own country, to their own people and spread happiness.
