There is something very special about our beautiful country. According to a data by the World Bank, almost 55% of the overall population of our country is women. This is a very encouraging data as this shows the respect that we have for the mothers and sisters of our country, in general.
However, there is another thing that makes all of us a little worried. A majority of the women of our country suffer from diseases caused by poor hygiene habits during the menstrual period days. The diseases can be extremely fatal and can even cause death!
We all believe that women are extremely important for families, homes and countries. Women make the world better. And only healthy women can make a healthy country. With this motto, VG Foundation, the corporate and social responsibility wing of Vishal Group had partnered with our P&G, the leading fast moving consumer goods company across the globe and World Vision International, relief, development and advocacy organization that works for children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We donated Rs. 1,00,00,000 (1 Crore) worth sanitary napkins for the women, for the mothers and sisters of our country.
Using sanitary napkins can minimize infections and other diseases for women, which improves the overall health and hygiene for them. Hence, we felt that this was a long pending and extremely necessary step towards building a healthy and better living for our beautiful country. We are extremely thankful to our partners, P&G and World Vision International for coming forward and extending every support possible to make this happen. This is an extremely necessary step and having reputed partners like P&G and World Vision International meant a lot for us!
We would also like to thank Ms. Sajal Pradhan, Lead – Water & Sustainability, VG Foundation and CO- Founder, Best Paani Pvt. Ltd. for heading the project on behalf of VG Foundation with utmost care and passion. Ms. Pradhan is actively working for various projects to improve sustainable lifestyle in Nepal and is a panel member of the US Embassy Youth Council, Nepal.

Making the daily life healthy, hygienic and sustainable is the first step towards building a brighter and better tomorrow for the country.
